Future plans for the site include development of the museum grounds both inside and outside the fence.  The Museum's land is owned by Alberta Trailnet, the Alberta operator of the Trans Canada Trail.  This unique partnership will see the land used for more than just a railway museum,  It will also be part of the Trans Canada Trail network.

Below are conceptual drawings of both the museums future track plans as well as trails throughout the site.  These plans were developed in conjunction with Alberta Trailnet and the Village of Beiseker.
