Past events (2004)
December 19,2004 - We ran into trouble with 6 holes for the fence. There was too much concrete debris in one area. The day was spent using a jackhammer to deepen the holes. The last 6 poles on the west side were then installed.


December 12, 2004 - Work progressed on installing chain link fence on the west side of our cars.


November 28, 2004 - Work began on installing posts on the west side of the chain link fence.

November 21, 2004 - The front display track extension was started today. Ties were laid out and rail was moved into place.

November 14, 2004 - Work continues on installing chain link fence. Pictures of earthwork that has been completed.
October 31, 2004 - Work continues on installing chain link fencing, and concreting a few extra posts at the museum.



October 24, 2004 - Work started on installing chain link fence at museum grounds.

September 26, 2004 - Open House at the museum.
September 18, 2004 - Work started on a fence for the museum.
August 21, 2004 - More track work was performed in preparation of the museum's open house.
May 2004 - There was one work party at the beginning of may to continue track laying. There rest of May has been a washout for us with all the rain we have been getting. We will be back at it soon as the weather gets better.
April 24, 2004 - The track gang was out laying more track today.
April 18, 2004 - Our track gang started work again for the season. We are planning on laying 1000 feet of track this year on the old CPR main line.
March 20, 21 & 27, 28 - Finished moving railway ties from Calgary into storage.
March 14, 2004 - More railway ties were moved from Canadian Pacific's property to a storage site.
February 14 & 15, 2004 - Supertrain. It was another busy year at this years show. Some pictures from this years show.


February 7, 2004 - Some pictures of the First work party of the year. Because of the way the ties are stacked it will take a few weekends to get through this pile. We are still looking for help with this project. If you can help with loading, or the use of a trailer or vehicle, we'd like to hear from you.

January 18, 2004 - The first work party of the year has been moved to the following weekend, check below for details.
With a new year comes a new project. The CPR has donated a number of used railway ties to us. We will be running the first work party this Sunday ( January 25, 2004 ) , weather permitting, to start moving these ties from Calgary to Beiseker. We are looking for people to help us load and unload ties or if you have a truck or trailer we'd like to hear from you.
