Past events (2006)


October 14, 2006 - The Museum's Locomotive was moved to the museum property today.


August 19, 2006 - Some of the track that the Museum is dismantling has been in the ground for so many years it is taking a little more effort to lift out.

  


July, 2006 - Work continued on dismantling railway track.


June 17, 2006 - The Museum has had approximately 1100 feet of track donated to us.  Work started today on removing the track from the property.

  


June 10, 2006 - Parade day.  The Museum once again took part in the Annual Beiseker Country Fair.  The CPR Puffer Belly was also in attendance to support the museum.  The Society won 2’nd place in the decorated float division.

 


June 9, 2006 - The museums float was built using 400 pom-pom’s.

 


May 31, 2006 - The Museums Locomotive was moved on CN train 44351-31 from Calgary to Beiseker.

  


May 30, 2006 - The society arranged with CN to move our locomotive to Beiseker for more secure storage.

  


May 22, 2006 - Restoration of the grain boxcar was finished today. Painting will be done next as weather permits.


May 4, 2006 - Work started on restoring the Museums Grain Boxcar to its original condition.  Two end ladders will be added along with installing an original roofwalk.

   


April 26, 2006 - in order to restore our grain boxcar (ex CPR 403584) to its original condition before painting,  a donor boxcar was located in Calgary.

 

 


April 8, 2006 - Preparations were started to paint two of the museums box cars.  In order to paint the trucks, years of caked of grime need to be removed.  The cars were also separated today so that the cars were accessible on all side to be worked on.

 


January 8 & 15, 2006 - The front display track extension was finished.
