October 24, 2008 - New Acquisition:  Ex CPR RS-23 #8017

October 22, 2008 - Equipment move, part 3.......

October 15, 2008 - One of the Museum's Box Cars was moved out of the way today to make room for the Museum's Burro Crane.  Once the car was moved, some of the connecting track was removed and the rest was pushed back into place for the next move.

[Below] The Museum's tractor is used to push the rail back into place.

October 8 2008 - To accommodate the move of the Museum's Burro Crane, track was built so that one of the Box Cars could be moved out of the way.

July 19 2008 - Equipment move, part 2......

July 13, 2008 - More track was added inside the fence at the Museum to accommodate the arrival of the next cars.  In order to ease the unloading process, the track was buried so that the trucks will be able to drive over the track.

July 9, 2008 - Five cars were moved to the the Museum property today.......

July 7, 2008 - To prepare for the move of equipment being brought to the Museum site, gravel was brought in for the trucks to drive on when they arrived.

June 26, 2008 - With support from the Alberta Lottery Fund and Bobcat of Calgary, the Museum was able to purchase a Flail Mower to help tackle the really dense brush and grass on the Museum property.  The Museum would like to thank Glenn Yingst and Mike Harker [pictured] of Bobcat of Calgary for their assistance in this acquisition.

June 14, 2008 - With all the heavy grass at the museum site, the mowing deck for the tractor needed some welding done to beef it up.  Two of our members were so happy, they did the welders mask jig.

June 5, 2008 - The track extension in front of the locomotive was finished today.  Our track gang is getting really good at this....

June 1, 2008 - With all the rain that the area has been getting, it was time to start the deforestation on the museum property again.  Also started today was the extension of the track in front of the locomotive.  The Museum will have more equipment delivered the year and there needs to be space available for all the cars. [Top left photo] Believe it or not, there are trees in the grass.  The Museum planted trees along the fence line on September 3'd, 2005 (see past events). The grass is growing so quickly, that they can't be seen. [Top right photo]  One side of the track extension is completed. [Bottom photo] The Museum's tractor gets some service done at the beginning of the day.

January 8, 2008 - The Museum had the rail acquired from Yale Properties moved to the museum site.
