Past Events (2010)


Aug 22, 2010 - Backfilling has been completed.  In the photo on the right the Museum's mainline will pass to the right of the foundation.

[Below] Looking north on the property.  The tracks will be extended past the station and a platform will be installed once the building is on site.


Aug 4, 2010 - Backfilling of the foundation started.

 

 


August 2, 2010 - Waterproofing of the basement walls and a view from inside the basement.

 


July 31, 2010 - With the forms removed the Museum has to wait 28 days for the concrete to cure before the building can be set down on its new foundation.


July 29, 2010 - Concrete for the basement was poured today. In first photo below you can see where the station is going to be in relation to the Museum's equipment by where the Burnco trucks and pumper are.  It took 12 trucks of concrete to pour the walls.

July 23, 2010 - Work started on cribbing the walls for the basement.

 


July 22, 2010 - Concrete was poured for the footings today.


July 21, 2010 - Some additional excavating was done today in preparation for the footings for the basement. Once completed the forms were built.


June 30, 2010 - Basement excavation was finished today.   Cribbing will be starting shortly.  The month of rain that Alberta has had is evident in hole.


June 29, 2010 - Excavation was started on the basement for the Museum's station.

 


April 24, 2010 - With the Station acquired, it was time to start laying out its location at the Museum.

 


April 20, 2010 - The Museum acquires a station
