| The Alberta 2005 Centennial
Railway Museum Society is looking for your help to build a railway
museum from the ground up.
With your $50 purchase, the museum will get a railway tie that will push forward the railway track just like they did over 100 years ago. For your valued contribution you will get a name you pick placed on an engraved plate at the end of the tie. The name may commemorate you, a loved one, or any other name special to you. |

Questions and Answers
| Is this tax
deductible?
Yes, an official Tax receipt will be issued for the full amount. Where will my railway tie be? Once your tie has been placed a map will be available at the museum with the location of your tie. You can view it anytime the museum is open. What if I purchase more than one tie? All the ties that you purchase will be placed together so as to make it easier for you to find. How does this help build a museum? Your purchase of a railway tie will literally build our museum forward. Rebuilding railway track is an expensive venture, so this can be your way of helping us with these construction costs. One mile of railway track will use approximately 2640 ties. We are looking at about six miles of track by the time our long term goals are met. Every tie you buy will make a difference for the museum. What happens if the tie wears out? You are buying a tie for life. If the tie ever needs replacing, your name will be transferred to the new tie. How much room is there on the plate? There is room for 10 characters per line ( maximum two lines )on the plate. Spaces and punctuation count as a character. |
