During the previous week, the Village of Beiseker did some earth work for us in preparation of our track work.

First we moved rail around.

Then we laid out some ties.

The driving of the first spike was done by the President of the Museum.

While some of us were busy spiking, the others were setting up the second section of rail.

" Oh, I've been working on the rail road... "

After the first day of hard work with a sledge hammer, it was decided that we should try some mechanical assistance in the form of a jackhammer.

Some work was still done by hand.

In total 2 sections of track were built this weekend and another was set, waiting to be spiked.  The track laying will continue for the next two weekends or until we have 8 sections built ( 4 in front, 4 in back ).
