October 14, 2006 - The Museum's Locomotive was moved to the museum property today. The move, donated by Mammoet Crane Inc., started at 9am at the Canada Malt Elevator on the east side of Beiseker. Once loaded on the truck, which had 15 axels and 120 tires, the locomotive was brought to the Museum property. Power line lifting was donated by Fortis. The two cranes Mammoet sent had a 275 ton capacity and a 360 ton capacity. The majority of the day was spent setting up and taking down the cranes.
The museum would like to thank the following for all their help that made this day possible.

The truck had to stop just outside the village office so that Fortis could lift the power line. The Village office is in the old CPR station to the left. You can also see the Villages ex CPR caboose on display to the north of the office. |
